Independent Playlist now includes track search, genre pages, New this week and Editor’s Picks. Save tracks for later on your device, copy a direct link to a playlist entry, or report an incorrect genre or unavailable recording. You can follow new additions through RSS without creating an account.

Two fields. A private status link.

Submitting a track still takes only a Spotify link and one main genre. After submitting, save the private status link shown in the confirmation. It lets you check the editorial decision and any moderation note. No artist dashboard is required.

The weekly readers’ chart

The voting system is being prepared for launch. Once email delivery and security checks are connected and the opening round is announced, readers will confirm an email address and choose up to five different tracks per week. There is no reader account or personal dashboard. Readers can replace their choices before the weekly deadline; only their final ballot counts. Voting is not open yet.

A spotlight earned in the Top 5

Detailed features with descriptions and photographs are reserved for tracks that reach the Top 5 in a completed, published weekly round. All tracks tied at fifth place qualify. Editors request materials after validating the results. Published features remain in the archive, preserving each dated achievement even after the track leaves the Top 5. Other participants appear as compact playlist and chart entries.

Results readers can revisit

Completed rounds are reviewed before publication. The chart will show valid votes, movement and eligibility weeks, with a permanent archive for published editions and shareable achievement badges. Editor’s Picks remain separate and never award extra voting points. Spotify streams, clicks and shares do not determine chart positions.
